Audit Log
Every email that passes through Sluice is logged with a complete audit trail. The audit log is available from the dashboard and can be exported for compliance reporting.
What's logged
Email events
For every email:
- Timestamp, sender, and recipients
- Per-rule guardrail results (risk level and explanation for each of the 10 guardrails)
- Reviewer action (approved, edited and approved, or rejected) and who reviewed it
- Final send status and forwarding timestamp
Settings changes
Guardrail settings changes are also logged:
- Who changed the setting
- What was the old value
- What is the new value
- When the change was made
This gives you a complete trail of who configured what and when — useful for compliance audits and troubleshooting.
CSV export
Download the full audit log as a CSV file for external analysis, compliance reporting, or integration with your existing tools.
The export includes all email metadata, guardrail results, and reviewer actions in a structured format.
Use cases
Compliance reporting — Export the audit log to demonstrate to auditors that all AI-generated emails were reviewed and approved according to your policies.
Quality monitoring — Review the audit log to spot trends — are certain guardrails flagging too often? Are reviewers frequently editing emails? Use this data to improve your AI agent's prompts.
Incident investigation — If a problematic email slips through, the audit log shows exactly what guardrails ran, what they returned, and who approved the email.
